(Names have been changed to protect the potential embarrassed mom).
On the way to school this morning, out of the blue:
Lyla: Mommy, did you know Olivia says her mom is a vampire? For real!
Me: (covering my mouth to stop the coffee from flying out)
Lyla: She really does say her mommy is a vampire. And Olivia and Natalie pretend they are vampires too when they don't want to play with us. They said their teeth are still coming in.
Me: (silently laughing hysterically while trying to drive without crashing) Really, wow... vampires eh?
Lyla: Yup (so matter-a-factly). Can you believe it? Vampires are real ya know.
