In my opinion, children should be born with the basic instinct that poop is gross. They should know that anything that comes out of their butt should never be touched, played with, or sniffed. I should never have to tell my child (like I just did) that NO, you never touch your poop and then smear it on my white couch. Never, ever touch your poop - which is what my child is not saying over and over again.
Should be basic stuff, right?
