Love you forever

My mom bought this book for Lyla.  When I first read it, I thought it was borderline creepy yet sad as well. I decided to read it to Lyla before bed tonight.

Sappy love story + tiredness + burning eyes + the fact that I'm getting old and my daughter is growing up so fast = niagara falls.

I started sobbing while trying to finish the book and Lyla was just looking at me like, huh?

So if you're looking for a nice gift to give a new mom or just a book for some little munchkin you love, I highly recommend it. And the whole stalking your kid while they are grown up with a ladder on your car is okay after all.

Oooh. For some reason my second-grade teacher loved this book and read it to us all the time. I can remember getting teary even then - I can't imagine what it would do to me now.

For reference, though, Greg's banned the Sarah McLaughlin commercials and the movie Titanic from the house.

Jess, your Mom also gave this book to me when Emma was born and the first time I read it, while on maternity leave, I was sobbing as well! Brooke
