Happy Birthday, Lyla

Today my little nugget turns 1.

365 days ago, Jared and I welcomed Lyla Clara Melanie into this world after two plus days of labor!  This past year has been amazing.  I feel truly blessed every time I look at our daughter.  She is my world.  

When I try to think about what my life was like without Lyla, I can't.  Yeah I had a lot more time to myself, Jared and I could go out whenever we wanted to wherever, but I was was alone.  Being pregnant and then having a baby is pretty much giving you the ultimate side kick.  I am never alone unless she's sleeping (and even then I miss her).

It's been an incredible year of motherhood and I love Lyla more than words can describe.  I am so looking forward to watching her grow, learn, and love for the rest of her life.  I just hope it doesn't go by as fast as this past year did.

So happy birthday, my love.  You are the most amazing thing in my world,  you are beautiful, and I can't possibly explain how much I love you more and more each day.
