I visited Jared at work today for lunch and to share some Lyla fun with his coworkers. On the highway exit ramp traffic light were two men with signs. Homeless, they said, help. However both of them were clean, warmly-dressed, and one of them was talking on a cell phone while holding his sign.
These people desperate enough to stand by traffic and beg for help always tear at my heart. I always quickly look around my car for anything I can give to them for help. But if you're on a cell phone buddy, how the hell can you afford that. Ironic and almost shameful.
