25 Days of Christmas Memories - Day 7

This year I've decided to write a special Christmas memory for the 25 days of Christmas. Each day until Christmas day, I will share a funny Christmas moment, memorable gift exchange, and my happy moments with family.  I hope you enjoy!

7th Day of Christmas

One of my best friends in high school was Brent.  Alright if I'm honest with you, I was totally in love with Brent and he crushingly broke my heart.  This fact I remind him of whenever I see him but he always come back at me saying I was the one who broke his heart.  This just results in a smack from me...

Anyways as Brent and I got close in high school, I met his family and was then invited to go to Christmas Eve mass with them.  The first year I went we were sitting in a crowded church and I was next to his mom.  We stood up for the Gospel reading and Mrs. F nearly fainted - well that is until I caught her.  It was then decided that I'd have to come to mass with them every year in case she falls again.  She adored me so much and after mass we'd go back to their house for a bit, take a photo of me and Brent and exchange gifts.

We did this tradition for a number of years.  But then I moved and we didn't talk as much as used to so it stopped.  I'll always remember my fun Christmas Eve mass memories with Brent and his family.  It was something I looked forward to each year.  Nowadays I only talk with Brent about once or twice a year but he'll always be a friend and I'll never let him live down how he broke my heart!
